In Luke ten where a lawyer is testing Jesus, Jesus responds to him with His question, in answer to the lawyer’s question.

Luke 10:26

He said to him, “What is written in the law? How do you read?”

While this is a little bit of a different situation than we would perhaps be in, Jesus’s response does show us the importance of knowing what the Bible says.
