For a Bible reader and one who follows Jesus Christ, it is essential to believe that the Bible is the complete word of God the Father. If one part is supposedly false then how can anything else in the Bible be true and trusted. Those who oppose the Bible frequently will attack Genesis, specifically chapters 1-11. They will many times concentrate on Genesis 1. It is important what we believe as Christ followers.

As much as I enjoy and learn from Dr. McGee, he believes in the gap theory. I know of other godly people who have believed the same way. But when they were guided to the multiple verses in the Bible, they changed how they believed and took Genesis 1 & 2 literally. Here is a link to read about the Gap theory.

We should never insert into the Bible any other thoughts that we suppose are there.

The Bible should be taken for what it literally says.

Deut. 4:2, Rev. 22:18-19, Gal. 1:6-9, 2 Tim. 3:16, Matt. 5:18-19

Be careful about what you hear from any pastor. They are only humans. My own pastor has said he makes mistakes. When you hear any pastor and you wonder about what they are saying, check what the Bible says.
